A great many lubricant brands are labels applied to product blended by someone else. Montow is not one of them. The group blends its own, which is what makes it possible to formulate against a customer’s duty rather than select from a catalogue, and to trace a service question back to a batch and a component lot.
The marine grades exist because the group’s offshore operations needed them, which makes those operations a demanding internal customer before they are a reference. It is the same sequence that produced SubseaCore in software: solve the group’s own problem first, offer it outside second.
Montow covers both sides of a system usually bought separately. Specified together, a filter and a lubricant can hold a longer interval reliably; specified apart, the weaker of the two governs and the operator pays for capability that goes unused. That pairing is the practical reason to take both from one source.
