Crew rotation logistics

Moving offshore and industrial crews on and off site to a rotation rather than a calendar — where a missed connection is a manning breach, not an inconvenience.

A rotation is not a business trip

Corporate travel tooling assumes a traveller who chooses to go somewhere and can choose to go later. Crew rotation inverts every one of those assumptions. The date is set by a hitch pattern, the destination is a facility with a fixed manning requirement, and the traveller cannot be substituted freely because competence is regulated.

The consequence is that a routing failure is an operational failure. If a relief does not arrive, someone else stays beyond their permitted hours, and the operator has a compliance problem rather than a travel problem.

What has to agree before anyone boards

Two fare networks, one journey

Crew journeys regularly begin in one fare environment and end in another, with no single carrier covering the whole route. Stitching marine and general fare networks together for one continuous journey is where a specialist desk earns its place, and it is a capability the group built for its own offshore operations before offering it outside.

Why it runs on the same record

Rotation travel works only when the roster, the certification register and the booking are the same record rather than three that are periodically reconciled. That is why this platform runs on the group’s own SubseaCore engine, and why the technology arm that built it sits inside the same group.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is crew rotation logistics?

Planning and booking the movement of personnel on and off industrial or offshore facilities according to a rotation pattern, subject to certification and manning requirements.

How does it differ from corporate travel management?

The traveller cannot usually be substituted, the date is fixed by the rotation, and failure to arrive creates a compliance exposure rather than a missed meeting.

What are marine fares?

Fare products available for offshore and marine crew travel, with conditions differing from standard corporate fares. Many crew journeys require combining them with general fares to complete a route.

Why does certification affect booking?

Because a crew member whose certification expires mid-hitch cannot lawfully complete the rotation. The check has to cover the whole period, not the travel date.

Do you handle visa and permit requirements?

They are part of the pre-travel position we track, since requirements can differ by nationality for crew doing identical work.
